Today in Mister Quill's Journal, July 20, 2026
Even the smallest light can guide someone out of a great darkness. Today I was reminded that brightness does not always arrive in grand gestures. Sometimes it is a quiet kindness, a gentle word, or a single steady flame held by someone who cares. Darkness can feel vast, but it is never stronger than a light that chooses to stay. And often, the light we offer others becomes the very glow that leads us forward, too. In the hush of the evening, I find comfort in this: no spark is insignificant. Even the faintest glow can become a beacon for someone who has forgotten which way to turn.
